Crayfish Tails on the BBQ

I am currently on my travels up north! And in light of these travels I thought I would write a very quick and easy recipe on how to BBQ crayfish.


Super quick, super easy, super tasty.


What you will need:

  • 1: Crayfish (Tail without the head)

  • 2 Cloves: Garlic (Minced or chopped)

  • Cracked Pepper

  • 3 Sprigs: Chives (Chopped)

  • 4 Tbsp: Butter (soft to melted)

Method:

  1. Heat up the BBQ on med/high and close the lid. In a bowl mix together the garlic, butter, pepper and chives.

  2. Remove the cray head and cut open the tail (see image). Using a brush, brush half of the butter mixture on top of the meat.

  3. Place the tail on the BBQ. I lightly sear the meat side for a minute or so until slightly golden. Then flip the tail so the shell is directly on the BBQ. Put the remaining mixture over the meat side of the crayfish. Close the lid for about 5-7 minutes or until meat is cooked.
